The 49ers will be performing Friday, January 27, 2012, in Newark, Delaware for the 4th Delaware Fresh Fest!!! The show is being dedicated to Souneik, a local producer who passed away recently. If you’re in the tri-state area make sure you come check out The 49ers, along with many other dope Delaware artists.

Blazo – Reflections (2012)

The 49ers are featured on Blazo’s latest album called Reflections and features two songs by the duo – “Doc Ellis” and “Pressure.” Both of these songs were actually recorded for Blazo’s prior album called Colors of Jazz. The remix to “Doc Ellis” made its way on Colors of Jazz and we are happy to see the original being released on Reflections. “Pressure” was also recorded for Colors of Jazz, but was later saved for the Reflections release. Also featured on the album are our good friends CL and Nieve.

Tokyo Mic Jamz – Un:unplugged (2012)

The 49ers are featuerd on Tokyo Mic Jamz (Inori & Shade) debut album called Un:unplugged. The 49ers are featured on the track called “Still Shinin’.” The 49ers first met Inori at a show they played together in Tokyo during The 49ers’ first tour of Japan in 2008. The artists continued to keep in touch and eventually recorded ‘Still Shinin’” in 2010. The song is finally seeing the light on Shade and Inori’s collaboration – Un:unplugged.

Shade and Inori combine to bring you a taste of what is now being labeled as Neo-modern Hip-Hop by many in Japan. Both artists are emcees and producers and teamed up as Tokyo Mic Jamz. Their style is heavily influenced by Jazz, Rock, and Hip-Hop.

MPC Beat Instruction by Marchitect

For those that don’t know, The 49ers came up in the game on the production side. We produced much of our earlier classics and have been included in production showcases across the east coast of the United States. We started making beats on the Ensoniq EPS 16+, then moved on to the ASR 10, MPC, and even software such as Fruity Loops, Reason, etc. We have produced such 49er classics as Breath of Fresh Air, Karma, Promise Me, Endless Rhymes, Champagne, Music, and I Don’t Want No to name a few.

Below is a little instructional video on how to use the MPC according to Marchitect and his approach to making a beat. This an oldie but goodie and in honor of Akai and their latest version of the MPC. Check it out!

Jas Mace of The 49ers is featured on Blue Bottle’s latest SoulChef release called Here & Now. The song is called “We Gon Turn It Out” and also features New Jersey native Internal Quest. The album also has a list of other great features such as Reach, Trace Blam, Ahnom, Need Not Worry, Nieve, Spycc, Ine, Noah King, Adub, Tunji, The Vox Merger, Home Brew, Thurro, and Awon.

Nothing bad to say about this album. Classic boom bap production from New Zealand’s finest. But, would you expect anything else from SoulChef? Make sure you go and pick up a copy on Blue Bottle’s Bandcamp page or look for them on iTunes, Amazon, and anywhere else digital albums are sold.

Kool Keith & The 49ers LIVE Performance

The 49ers will be peforming at Mojo on Main (Newark, De) with the legendary Kool Keith on Thursday, December 1, 2011. This will be Kool Keith’s first time performing in The 49ers’ home state of Delaware. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the door. The damage is $20.00 and you must be 18 years of age or older. Also performing that night is Rude Boi, Fallen Kings, Burb City, and Forsaken.

If you’re in the tristate area, make sure you come check us out. It’s going to be a night to remember, believe that!

For those that haven’t already picked up the album, hopefully this Soulstice sampler will help you stop putting this off until next week. haha. Take a listen to what the album has to offer, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied with what you here! Thanks again for everyone’s support who purchased the album and is helping spread the word. Soulstice is available online worldwide and throughout stores in Japan.

Also, the remix competition is heating up. PRODUCERS – To be featured on the next collaboration album, all you have to do is “like” The 49ers group and “like” the ZDW!? group on facebook and download the acappellas. After that, make a remix and submit it via YouTube.com. So far we like what we’ve heard and it’s going to be a hard decision, but we are still accepting remixes. We look forward to hearing what you come up with.
